To be eligible for institutional recommendation from Mississippi State University for these supplemental endorsements, a valid Mississippi educator's license in a subject area is required.

Specialized Education(20 Semester hours)

• CSE 4323/6323: Computing and Cybersecurity Classroom Integration
• CSE 1284: Introduction to Computer Programming
• CSE 1384 : Intermediate Computer Programming
• CSE 2383 : Data Structures and Algorithms
• CSE 2813 : Discrete Math
• TECH 4333/6333 : Introduction to Computer Science Education

All coursework must be completed at Mississippi State University and with a grade of "C" or higher. Candidate must provide IC³ Internet and Computing Certification prior to MSU making the recommendation for this endorsement. The IC³ exam is created by Certiport, a business of NCS Pearson, Inc. It is available in several versions, but for MDE licensure requirements, the Global Standards 4 or 5 (GS4 or GS5) is acceptable. For more information click here.
